CONTROLLED DESCENT DEVICE | #199D

#199D is our manually operated Controlled Descent Device. This unit comes with a steel 1″ gate, twistlock carabiner. #199D can be used with a full body harness or work seat. It is used on a single 7/16″ piece of approved rope at any length. The worker can install the device at any point along the rope. As the lever on #199D is moved, friction on the rope decreases and the device will descend. As a protective measure, when the control lever is unintentionally fully pressed or fully released the friction increases and the descent is stopped.
